Good bag. No large complaints.
I have gone through several boxes of these bags, with no leaking issues what so ever. I like the double zip-lock feature, and writing on the bags with a sharpie is great, no smudges. The bags are heavy weight and go in the freezer nicely. I have never noticed any “freezer burn” on the milk.
That being said I wish there were a few changes. I wish the bag didn’t proclaim “mommy’s milk”. That is just a little creepy I think, especially to non breast feeding persons in the house.
I also don’t know what the purpose of the rip off tab on top of the bag is. Seems unnecessary.
The bag purports to stand up on it’s own but that isn’t true 100% of the time so you have to proceed as if it didn’t to avoid spilling.

I have been using these bags almost every day for nine months now. I have not had a single leak yet! They make nice slim packages when laid flat to freeze, and fit in the freezer storage containers you can buy. The little curve really helps with pouring the milk out in a nice stream, but do know it requires two hands to avoid spills – my husband learned that the hard way. The double zipper is strong and clicks closed. The measurements on the bag don’t seem accurate to me, but I go by the volume from a bottle before pouring the milk into the bag. There is a space to write the date and volume on the top of the bag, and you can use a ballpoint pin or a sharpie to do so. I believe that the people that have had leaks are probably overfilling their bags – breastmilk expands quite a bit when frozen, so you have to make sure there is space for it to expand.
I’m not sure if it’s possible to pump directly into the bag, but really, it only takes two seconds to transfer milk from the bottle off the pump into the bag. If you’re already washing pump parts, an extra two bottles is nothing. Like I said, I’ve been doing it for months and the dishes aren’t that bad.

I have recommended these bags to friends, and they all agree that they’re wonderful! My daycare provider even asked me what bags I was going to use for breastmilk storage, saying that Gerber bags had leaked time and time again for her.
